Alumnus and Army Captain Speaks at Skeptics
Alex Gallo ’96, former captain, infantry, in the United States Army, was the featured Society of Skeptics speaker on January 23. Alex returned to his alma mater to present a program entitled, “IRAQ: Beyond the Headlines.”
Alex, who is a West Point graduate, is now studying at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He spoke to a standing-room-only audience, answering one question after the other in response to his presentation. Students were anxious to know his thoughts on the war, how the U.S. might best proceed from here, how President Bush, his administration and military leaders have handled the war, media coverage of the conflict, etc., and was candid in his opinions and suggestions for accomplishing the task at hand.
The Society of Skeptics lecture series occurs on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and is held in Cowan Auditorium. Click here for a full listing of scheduled speakers
